Field Activities

Occasional Volunteers

You are welcome to join us in our 7 acre certified organic vegetable garden with planting, weeding, harvesting, etc.

• Tuesdays & Fridays: 10-12:30
• Thursdays: 10-12:30 and 2:00-5:30

The Big Dig

Every fall we have a workbee to harvest our root crops. Bring your family and friends to the farm for this event!

Working Shares

If you are interested in weekly field work in exchange for a share of vegetables, contact us by April 1st. For details, please see our Ignatius Farm Working Share doc.

Internships

Full-season and short-term structured internships are available to learn the principles and practices of organic agriculture. Mentorship, training, housing, and modest stipend provided in exchange for field and CSA work. Apply by Feb. 8th. For more information please view our Internship Information Package

CSA Core Group

This group of CSA members meets monthly and is comprised of active shareholders who provide feedback to the farmers on behalf of the membership, promote CSA membership, facilitate membership activities, address member communications, plan a fundraising activity, and liaise with the interns and farmers.

CSA Business Advisory Committee

This group meets every 6 weeks to review CSA finances in order to provide support and consultation regarding business and financial questions for the CSA farmers. A member of the Board of the Ignatius Jesuit Centre sits on this committee. Share your financial, entrepreneurial, fundraising and/or small business skills.

Share your experiences with fellow members - Recipes, Articles, Poetry, Photos, Art (from you or your kids!).
