Ignatius Farm CSA strives to provide for the less fortunate by donating excess fresh produce to local service organizations. These organizations are provided with donated shares that have been covered through member contributions, as well as shares that are not collected by the end of our CSA pick-ups.

Current and previous organizations to have received donated shares include the Welcome In Drop-In, Michael House Pregnancy Care Centre, Onward Willow Better Beginnings Better Futures, County of Wellington Employment Resources, and Chalmers Community Services. If you know of a service agency that would benefit from a regular donation of fresh produce, please contact us. We encourage share members and the public to make donations in order to provide ‘community’ shares for these and other worthwhile charities.

In addition to nurturing relationships within our community, Ignatius Farm CSA educates community members in all facets of growing vegetables organically through its hands–on full and short season internships. To ensure the required funding of over $11,000. per intern annually, we welcome public support for our education programs through intern sponsorship donations.

In the true spirit of sharing, please consider donating to the Ignatius Farm CSA programs.
